If you have poor TV or radio reception…

Freeview viewers in parts of Scotland will need to retune their TV equipment on 17 April as local airwaves are cleared for the roll-out of 4G mobile broadband.


Changes to transmitters serving parts of Angus, Dundee, Perth and Fife, the south west Highlands and Islands and viewers in the Scottish Borders will free up frequencies for the future introduction of 4G. Around 300,000 homes will be affected.


TV services will be subject to disruption from midnight as channels including BBC One, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Film4 and Yesterday are moved to new frequencies. Work at the main Angus, Selkirk and Rosneath transmitters is expected to be completed by 6am and viewers can retune at any point after this. More information on the dtg website
